I knew who Dennis Hopper was before I saw
Blue Velvet, but Frank Booth was the role that made me give a shit about him as an actor. Honestly, like any good David Lynch villain, he scared the shit out of me. Later on I'd learn to love his offbeat characters in
River's Edge,
Apocalypse Now, and much later
Land of the Dead. Was never a fan of
Easy Rider, but I can see why other people love it. It didn't really matter what movie he was in, you knew at the very least that Dennis Hopper was going to kick ass in whatever role he played. Here's to your fuck Frank!
