School of Seven Bells - Disconnect from Desire

I was a little underwhelmed by this album. I had heard good things about the band and I am familiar with Benjamin Curtis' other bands, so I was interested in hearing the album. Well, meh. It is all right, but it drones on and on and is really repetitive. It feels overproduced and almost like they tried to do too much, without it looking like they did much at all.

Wavves - King of the Beach

Do you like lo-fi pop punk music? Well then you will like the new Wavves album. Good stuff. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. The music reminds me a lot of a lo-fi version of the Dead Milkmen. Very silly lyrics, but also very singable and catchy tunes. Definitely a fun summer album.

3D Jackass: Ok NOW I'm Excited

I really wasn't all that impressed with the 3D tech used to make Avatar. However..... I'll fly back to Texas to watch Jackass 3D at the Alamo Drafthouse.
