Van Halen + David Lee Roth = Too Late
So it appears that Diamond Dave and the rest of the Van Halen crew, minus Michael Anthony(why?) are recording a new album. All I gotta say is WHY? Seriously, why? I'm so confused. You guys are about 20 years too late. This is ridiculous. I cannot fathom that this is in any way a good idea. Diamond Dave burned out in the late 80's and Eddie Van Halen appears to be hell bent on ruining the legacy of this once classic band. Seriously, WTF, get rid of Michael Anthony, your bass player, back up singer, dude in the band who didn't appear to be a raging douche bag and replace him with your teenage son. Guh! Fuck off, Van Halen. You egomaniac. Bring back Gary Cherone!!!

I couldn't agree more, Wook E. Fresh. How the fuck are these dudes even relevant any more? I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some VH but the coolest thing Eddie Van Halen has done in the last 20 years is help design amplifiers. David Lee Roth made a fucked up acid trip video. I'm no fan of Van Hagar but at least that guy spends his free time making tequila, something the entire world can benefit from. Maybe we're wrong, but I doubt it.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. Growing up a huge VH fan, this would have been great 20 years ago. But now the thought of it makes me want to hurl. It's all just a way to make an excuse for a tour and charge people hundreds of dollars to see them rape some once great songs. And as for Anthony, he was the fucking backbone of the band and like Coop said, the only non-douchebag in the bunch. I'm sure little Wolfgang can woof down some Twinkies but leave the bass playing to the grown ups!
